As a flourishing homeschooling state which continues to grow more and more each year, this homeschool association is eager to meet the needs of Wisconsin’s growing homeschooling population. As of the 2017 – 2018 school year, there are over twenty-one thousand homeschooled students.

About Wisconsin Parenting Association (WPA)
The Wisconsin Parents Association was created in 1984 by a group of concerned homeschoolers “to oppose legislation that would have severely limited homeschoolers’ freedoms by giving the Department of Public Instruction power and authority over homeschools. Homeschoolers working together through WPA got the legislation amended so it became one of the most reasonable homeschooling laws in the country.”
The foundation of the WPA is based on ten principles which remind all homeschoolers to know the law, do only the minimum required so as not to spur additional legislation, stand up for your rights, do not accept government help, and to work alongside other homeschoolers and the WPA to maintain the status quo of the current homeschool law.
